Delete Your Account & Data

    The short version

    You can permanently delete your DishBinder account and all your data at any time, directly in the app or on the web. You're signed out immediately and everything is erased within 7 days.

    1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)

    On iPhone, iPad, Android, or the web:

    • Open DishBinder and sign in.
    • Go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account.
    • Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deactivated and you're signed out immediately.

    2. Or request deletion by email

    If you can't access the app, email support@duskfieldstudios.com from the address on your account and we'll process the deletion for you.

    3. What gets deleted

    Deletion permanently removes your account and all data associated with it, including:

    • Your profile and login credentials
    • All saved, imported, and AI-generated recipes
    • Collections, meal plans, and grocery lists
    • Pantry items and food / water log history
    • Any uploaded images (recipe photos, avatar)
    • Health data you synced into DishBinder (this never includes data still held by Apple Health or Health Connect on your device)

    4. Timeline

    Your account becomes inaccessible the moment you confirm. All of the data above is permanently and irreversibly deleted within 7 days. We retain only the transactional records (e.g. subscription/payment history) we are legally required to keep for tax and audit purposes, per applicable accounting rules.

    Changed your mind inside the 7-day window? Just sign back in — log in with your email and password (or with Google / Apple) and you'll be offered the option to restore your account and cancel the deletion. After the 7 days, the data is gone and can't be recovered.

    5. Important: cancel your subscription separately

    Deleting your DishBinder account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by the store or payment processor — not by us. Cancel it separately so you aren't charged again:

    • App Store (iPhone / iPad): Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DishBinder → Cancel.
    • Google Play (Android): Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DishBinder → Cancel.
    • Web (Stripe): Settings → Subscription → Manage Billing, before you delete the account.
