    Common questions

    How do I cancel my subscription?

    DishBinder subscriptions are managed through the platform you subscribed on:

    • iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DishBinder → Cancel
    • Android: Play Store → menu → Subscriptions → DishBinder → Cancel
    • Web: Click "Manage subscription" in the app's Settings → Billing section, which opens your Stripe customer portal

    Cancelling stops auto-renewal at the end of your current billing period. You keep premium access until that period ends.

    Can I delete my account?

    Yes — in the app or on the web, go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, or email us at support@duskfieldstudios.com. You're signed out immediately and your account plus all your recipes, collections, pantry items, food log, and meal plans are permanently deleted within 7 days. This does not cancel an App Store / Google Play / Stripe subscription — cancel that separately so you aren't charged again.

    A recipe URL won't import — what should I try?

    DishBinder supports 400+ recipe sites that publish their recipes in the standard schema.org/Recipe format (AllRecipes, NYT Cooking, Serious Eats, BBC Good Food, Food Network, Bon Appétit, etc.). If a URL doesn't import:

    • Some sites block automated requests from data centers. The mobile app fetches on-device first to work around this; the web app falls back to a Cloudflare proxy.
    • For TikTok / Instagram / YouTube cooking videos, paste the full URL — we extract the recipe from the caption first, then from the video frames if the caption is sparse.
    • If neither works, you can paste the recipe text manually (Add Recipe → Manual tab).

    The AI Chef is rate-limited / not responding

    DishBinder uses a third-party AI provider (Groq Llama 3.3) that has occasional rate-limit windows during high-traffic periods. If you see a "try again later" message, the limit usually resets within a few minutes, or daily at midnight UTC.

    On the free trial: 3 AI generations per day. Subscribed users get unlimited generations subject to the provider's per-request rate limit.

    Pantry / grocery / cooking issues

    Send screenshots and a short description of what you expected vs. what happened to support@duskfieldstudios.com. The more context (recipe name, pantry item name, the cook flow you were in), the faster we can fix it. We log every issue to our internal tracker.

    Refund requests

    For App Store / Play Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple and Google directly:

    For web subscriptions paid via Stripe, email us within 14 days of the charge for a refund — no questions asked.
